A basic Will or simple Will plan includes a Last Will and Testament, which designates your
Personal Representative (called an Executor in some states). Your Will provides instructions for
who will receive your assets on your passing to confirm your estate is handled according to your
wishes. The Will addresses your wishes in the event of your death, and Incapacity Documents address
your wishes during your lifetime. This plan includes all documents listed in the Incapacity
Protection Plan described above.
This package includes the following documents:
– Last Will and Testament
– Advance Directive for Health Care
– General Durable Power of Attorney
– HIPAA Release
– Appointment of Person to Make Decisions Concerning Disposition of Remains
For married couples, this package includes documents for both spouses. If you have children, it is critical to build in protection for their inheritance until they are older. This Will includes a trust to protect the inheritance for children. Whether you protect funds until the child is age 18 or age 25, this plan allows you to designate a responsible adult to serve as a gatekeeper on the inheritance until your children are older. In the event something happened to that adult, it includes backup adults to step in and handle the funds for the children. This plan also includes designation of guardians for children who would step in to care for your children in the event you were unable to do so yourself.
